The Story of the "Lady Ballerz"

Lady Ballerz was founded by Kevin and Keisha Palmer of Waterford Michigan, in the 2018-2019 season.

Kevin started the Lady Ballerz for his daughter who at wanted to play travel team basketball. Kevin soon learned there were very few (if any) organization to choose from within a 10-15-mile radius of Waterford.

 

So as a result, he put together a team comprised of participants from Waterford, Pontiac, Auburn Hills, Birmingham and Rochester. To compete in travel team tournaments throughout the tri-county area, with marginal success.

However, shortly the participants became more confident, fundamentally sound and they soon learned how to win and participate at a high competitive level. As a result, some participants gain the attention of “Elite” programs who soon poached players and enticed them to join their organizations.

Kevin was also enticed to take his daughter and join one of those organizations, as well. He soon discovered what he was previously doing with the Lady Ballerz,  was no different then most elite programs offer. Other then the claim of a national sports apparel sponsorship.

So, he soon realized that Lady Ballerz could and can provide the same experience and more. This led to the current offering of the platform, which embraced the complete “student-athlete” approach and perspective. In collaboration with Keisha's  educational administrative background, provides a clear distinct difference of program, that we offer.

Not to say that there are not programs out there, that offer somewhat the same concept. But the Lady Ballerz, state the claim to be one of the few organizations that strives to develop the entire student athlete.
